X-Factor Experience.
01/05/2016
So there I was sitting in my study talking to my sister who had had a very sensitive operation to solve a chronic pain in her neck, the doctor had to cut off the nerve end but something went wrong as my sister was in constant pain after the operation but the ignorant pompas ass said that it would alleviate eventually but guess what, it didn't so there and then I decided I would kill two birds with one song.I decided to audition for the xfactor and also visit my poorly sister.
So I finally arrive to the open day after an almost sleepless night, excited to finally be at the X-auditions.I arrived at maybe 07:45 and there was already a sizeable que waiting there. We spent the next 6 & 1/2 hours cueing and waiting for the inevitable confrontation with a judge, as some people saw it. We had to do pose and paute and jump around like idiots for the publicity footage that the X-factor crew were recording. Some professional dancers came onto the tiny stage up at the front of the cattle pens as they became to be known by the hopeful pretenders. Dermot O'Leary finally appeared for maybe a few minutes to say thank you for all of us turning up and later on he bid his farewell.
It was all very business like and sterile. After what seemed like an eternity, we began to shuffle forward as the crew begun releasing groups of around 30 people after they had got the additional footage of us screaming and making signs of the xfactor .The real auditions were about to begin.Man was I wrong, inside the excel centre we had another long wait before we even saw a judge. At this stage I had spoken to a good few people, some really nice and some not so nice.I even sang a couple of song to my new found colleges. It helped a lot to pass the time I truly enjoyed it.
I eventually got audition which lasted all of like a half a minute with a resounding "you're through to the next round"I got my red ticket and was told to go register for the 2nd round. luckily for me the next round was the next day but I didn't realise that my boarding date had changed from the 3rd of may to the 2nd. You see I booked it on-line and I have noticed that the dates strangely changed on two occasions.Well to cut a long story short I did the second audition and the consequent 3rd audition but I missed my plane.
Unfortunately the results of the third audition would be decided upon later in that month or maybe the following month. So her I am waiting anxiously to see if I get through. Will my adventure continue in England or will it continue here in Spain.Only the judges can determine that. Here's to hoping that I can continue writing this Blog for you guys.

Why play Music
Why Play Music?
I have always wondered why people find music so fascinating, although people say that it gives them a way to express how they feel or it's a way to get rid of stress, I find these answers to run short of a full answer for me.
Recently my band members basically ganged up on me because they thought I was trying to steal their thunder and I quote "I don't want people to think its called ChirsAlan and the Darkways" referring to the naming of the group. You see I was basically pumping out song after song on the Smule Karaoke app because I was in my element.I love to let myself go to the music to the point of becoming someone else 'acting if you will'.
I find it exhilarating that other like minded individuals are feeling the freedom this very simple yet amazing app is offering yet a las the band members had to bring me down from a high and destroy the good chi I was feeling. They totally destroyed my good vibe that I had with them just because their ego got in the way and I repeat word for word now "You're promoting yourself and not the band".Now as far as I can tell or see, if someone is self promoting they assume their own name and do duets, collaborations with other groups and even solo acts while maintaining all the while their individuality yet I maintained the name of our band and I referred to them as often as I could.
So the inevitable is going to happen, I'll go to the band meeting tonight and listen to them and their opinions and then I will say goodbye for good. You see if I was in their shoes I would have egged them on to do more and more because that's what supporting your mates is all about, being there for them whenever and wherever they are no matter what they are doing.
So to sum up my little rant I believe that music is a doorway to our minds free roaming imagination, to where there are no limits to what we can do.It's a gateway to unleash our worst fears and our greatest aspirations.Let the wonder and delight open your eyes tonight. And to close off by Quoting an amazing man "one love, one life, lets stand together and be all right"
Peace out
ChrisAlan.
