Heart Broken Singer's
If you look all over the internet you will find people from all walks of life vying for a chance to be recognised as a talented singer yet every effort they make to get recognised falls on deaf ears like a tidal-wave beating its ferocious fist against isolated cliffs.The more one tries the more one gets frustrated and maybe even a bit bitter towards the carefree world which isn't willing to listen to them.These people have spent years practising, rehearsing and honing their skills to become the best singer they can be and yet year after year their efforts appear to be in vain
This is a photo of a group called Darkways. Almost two years together but after arguements and people changing their taste and opinions this group lost two of it's members who have gone on to work together as a duo.The singer of the group Chris Alan aka me!I am still looking for some kind of global recognition for my efforts and yet all I have is an empty Akademia achievement for best song Americana but after going back to check last years winners amazingly my name was missing from the list of winners.Yet another cheap ass con from apparently a large organisation who is preying on the dreams of people who wish to become world renowned singers.The depravity of it all.People are disgusting selfish pigs at times.
So here I am still dreaming and still hoping that some day I might actually get to where I am going although its not likely if the world keeps working the way it does.My eldest daughter said to me the other day "dad it's horrible that the people behind the x-factor prefer to take losers and deranged people to sing on their shows and only allow a small few talented singer through while turning away all those hard working and talented singers" She's right you know. Pathetic to think that people making fools of themselves get more ratings than true talent nowadays.Just look at all the talent-less idiots who do stupid stunts or who act like monkeys in the wild or offend people just because people on YouTube like that crap more than someone who is talented at something.It's like they are offended to just see them or hear them.
How small have we become to behave like that.Word of advice to everyone out there who plays an instrument,sings,dances or has a unique talent that has worked for years on perfecting their gift but has felt anything remotely like this you should speak up about this behaviour. Let them know that it's not alright to belittle someone or make them feel worthless or even ignore them.People need to more sympathetic towards an artists feeling but they should also try to recognise and promote that talent more unless you want a more generic and boring society full of under achievers.
Am I angry and bitter, yes I am because even the music business belittles our talents because of the general public's perception of art and artists.Most of the times it's impossible to even get people to notice that you're there. Arrrrgh! I apologies for my rant but it had to be done.I'm not ignorant I'm just like you in a world where its easy to ignore each other when people spend more time by themselves with their PP's.All in all, I'm just another brick in the wall.
